My Ford experience

Every pickup truck lover knows that all truck owners have their own stories to tell and my starts in Berryland Farm of Texas, a farm 60 miles away from Houston. I’d like to share with you the story of what this truck and my future F-150s meant for me and my family. I was born in 1974 and lived on a farm with my family for twenty-one years, before moving on to the next stage of my life. At the time of my birth and for the next twenty years my father owned a pearl white 1973 Ford F-250 Ranger, the sixth generation (1973-1979) of the F-series. The car quickly became a very important part of our family’s life. Whether it was for hauling lumber, fencing our acres or transporting cattle, which predominately occupied our land, the truck was basically our right hand. At the time of my birth, my family and I lived in a small farmhouse on the 55 acres that my family had already owned for 5 generations. When I was eight years old, my father and two older brothers had decided that it was time to build a new house, considering that we were waiting for a fourth child in the family. All heavy transporting was done with the help of the old F-250 Ranger. Considering that we did all construction and transportation on our own it was a lot to handle, but lucky for us we had a reliable Ford truck.

Throughout all my boyish years my father fixed up and modified the truck quite a lot and he made sure that I was always there to learn and give a helping hand. The first two things that I changed with my father is the clutch and starter, and after that, I became obsessed with modifying and working on trucks.

At the age of twenty-one, I was convinced that I want to work with trucks for the rest of my life. At that time, I already had a child and a wife, who I was struggling to financially support. I knew that I wanted to open my own auto repair shop, so I convinced my father into investing part of our family’s savings, about twenty-five thousand dollars, into my ambitions and helping me out at the shop for the first few months before I was able to hire actual employees. The shop was located in the suburbs of Houston. After a year of hard work, I was even able to buy my first truck. A beautiful 1996 Ford F-150 that I proudly claimed as my own. After another six months of work, and I bought my father the same car that I owned.

We didn’t choose Ford just for the brand, but because it was and still is industry leading when it comes to safety. My father and I see Ford’s trucks not only as handy helpers when it comes to transporting big and heavy cargo, but also as safe and practical family cars.

The years went by and my auto shop was a local success. I bought my next Fort F150 in 2007. An eleventh generation 2007 truck. By that time my son was beginning to show an interest in trucks so I decided that it was time to raise a partner and someone who could take over the business when I was ready to retire. When he reached the age of eighteen, he was driving my 1996 truck, with as much or even more knowledge about pickups than I had, he was a real fanatic.

Now, I am in love with Ford’s F-series more than I have ever been before. Looking back at my life, the trucks have always been part of or even the center of my life. From being the main tool in building the house I live in today with my family, to be what I decided I want to work on for the rest of my life back in 1995. If it wasn’t for my love for the Ford series, who knows where my life would have taken me. Today, I am a proud owner of an F-150 Raptor. My son, David, deals with most of the business in the shop, I simply come and work with the trucks, what I’ve been doing for most of my life and what I still love doing. We are starting to build a new house on our land, as the family is getting way to big, again…

If I was asked to give this short life story a moral, then it would be that your life goal should be to do what you love. Because only when you put all of your heart into something, you can get the most out of it. It wasn’t easy investing half of my father’s life savings into my business, but it was all worth it in the end. I was able to take the risk because I knew that with my mechanical know-how, determination, love for the Ford F-series, and a lot of hard work I could succeed.

It’s no secret that every truck brand has its followers and that it’s more than just a vehicle you drive, most of us have pretty strong feelings for our trucks. After 44 years of the F-series in our family, we have nothing but good memories and pride in what we have accomplished with the help of our Ford trucks.

By the way, unfortunately, we sold my fathers 1973 truck a long time ago, it would have been an amazing piece to have in the garage, all the memories…

The motive behind creating the website

Throughout the years of working at my shop, a very common question that most of my clients would ask me is what are the best and the most necessary accessories needed for an F-150 truck. The reason for that is that because there is such a wide range of accessories and brands, most beginner and even experienced truck owners get confused when purchasing something for their truck. This website was created to easily solve this problem.

Back in the day, the only trustworthy source of information when it came to truck accessories were your fellow F-150 owners and local shop workers. It wasn’t very smart to trust the manufacturers, as their main goal was to sell as many products as they possibly could. Today, we have a completely different situation. We believe that there is too much information, which is all completely different, and it’s hard to decide which is true and which is not. This problem began to develop with the rapid growth of the internet and different websites and discussion boards around these trucks, many of which have misleading information. This was our main motive to create this website at the beginning of 2018.

With this website, our number one goal is to be the main and only source needed when choosing accessories for your Ford F-150. We give our honest and unbiased opinion on the products that we believe are the best on the market based on quality, price, popularity, and our personal experience. We possess a good amount of products that will be reviewed, and we have at least seen, worked in the shop with, or have had our fellow F-150 owners give their comments about the products. We want to spare you the time of reading through tons of misleading and useless information, and give only the information that you need to know to make a decision about what accessories you exactly need.

Our website is basically for anyone who owns a Ford F-150. We write reviews that are simple enough for a beginner to understand, but at the same time, they are useful and interesting for experienced truck lovers.

We believe that what differs us from our competitors is that we provide you with completely objective information. Our main goal isn’t to sell you the products, but to help you get a better idea of which products fit you and your needs the most. We are all different, and our basic needs are different, and that’s the exact reason why we all need a different set of truck accessories.

We love the Ford F-series, and we hope that we can share our love for this series with you as well. The best truck deserves only the best accessories
